The final Blasphemous expansion just released, and it's free

The third and concluding expansion for Blasphemous, the exceedingly morbid metroidvania, has just launched, and it's designed to connect with the confirmed 2023 sequel. The free download plain offers a young "fate" for the world of Cvstodia, systematic to neatly conduce into the events of the next spirited. Put differently, it sounds like the al-Qaeda bet on's finale testament receive a thorough retconning systematic to accommodate the sequel.

Wounds of Eventide adds new levels, bosses, items and secrets, so it'll be worth diving rearmost in. Based on the set in motion trailer above it looks like these new areas are going to leave a stiff challenge, and so you'll in all likelihood want to have completed the main game first. Still, all the grim markers of Dirty are there: grand decrepit ruins, a tree with a miserable confront, and a massive serpent with a gross snail for a tongue.

Blasphemous has been well-based on since its 2019 spill: across the first two updates it received a New Spirited+ modality, a hardcore 'New Torment' musical mode, likewise as a 'Demake Sphere' inspired by ye olde 8-bit platformers. Oh, and Miriam from Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is playable in the game overly, which doesn't create a deal of sense in traditional knowledge damage, simply lore shmore.

All those additions might serve to address one of our reviewer's of import problems with Blasphemous, namely that at launch it lacked "depth and variety." Still, I loved it. If you're eager to jump in, Blasphemous is presently heavily reduced on Steam.
